They wanted a space that would be easy to pop in and out of whenever they needed to fill their cup. Somewhere they could visit both solo or socially to disconnect from the daily grind or reconnect with a friend. But most importantly a place they wanted a space that was affordable so that everybody could experience the benefits of taking the time to slow down and switch off.
And in 2020 – Soak Mermaid Beach was born – a communal bathhouse that offers relaxing experiences and rejuvenating services that are simple, accessible, affordable.
Niki and Alexis are passionate about making wellness easy, accessible and affordable and providing a space that gives more people the opportunity to slow down, switch off and forget that anything else matters.
Soak is a family-owned business founded by Gold Coast locals and husband and wife duo Niki and Alexis Dean.
Having collectively spent years juggling the demands of their corporate careers, raising a family, trying to maintain a social life and prioritising their health, they came to rely on annual visits to health retreats to simply rest and relax.
While incredible experiences, they weren’t as affordable or accessible as they believed wellness should be and were passionate about finding a way to incorporate doses of micro wellness into their regular schedules.
