Our story begins in the late Qing Dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Guangxu. Wong Yiu Nam (WYN) was founded by the esteemed Chinese physician, Wong Yiu Nam, who dedicated his life to healing and serving the people.

With a profound understanding of traditional Chinese Medicine, our medical hall became a trusted source of relief for the people of Guangdong province, offering remedies that were both effective and deeply rooted in ancient wisdom. 1935

From Guangzhou to Singapore

In 1935, merchant Mr. Yin Hing Sek established the first Wong Yiu Nam Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) medical hall in Singapore. As turmoil and unrest swept through Guangzhou due to ongoing conflicts, many merchants and their families fled to Southeast Asia in search of safety and stability, many of them settled in Singapore.

WYN quickly became a beacon of hope, providing trusted remedies to those who had relocated to Singapore.

Under the Yin family’s diligent management, WYN quickly became a trusted household name in Singapore, known for strict quality control and traditional practices.

In 1976, as we expanded our product range and reputation across Southeast Asia, WYN transitioned to professional management, ensuring continued growth while preserving our core values of integrity and quality.

Grand Entrance into Malaysia
