Over a decade ago, local research showed that there was a need in South Canterbury for a gym specifically for women only. The reasons are varied, from feeling intimidated while working out – to being part of an all-women community.

The team at Go Girl Physique Gym Timaru implements and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of our women’s only gym.

Vision – To engage, empower and support all women in our community to achieve a healthier and happy lifestyle.

Mission – By providing an exciting, fun, inviting, and non-intimidating environment for exercising with a variety of fitness classes and structured gym programs. We have a personal approach to health and fitness where women can be who they want to be.

Values– Wellbeing, positive attitude, safe environment, respect, integrity, accountability, diversity, inclusion, and energy.

I have been in the Fitness Industry for over 25 years. Qualified as a Group Fitness Instructor at the age of 16. I have always had a passion for Exercise and Sport. Later added Sports Massage, Personal Training and Yoga qualifications to my resume. I have worked in the Corporate Environment and also Managed Spa & Salon’s on the Cruise Ships. I have had the privilege to meet so many fantastic people over the years help reach their goals. A lesson learned is that ‘one size’ does not necessary fit all. This is what I enjoy most about what we do, the programmes that we provide such as Body Blitz might not be suitable for everyone, however we will find something that will suit you, your lifestyle and budget.

Since moving to New Zealand I have specialized in Women’s Health & Fitness. I love what I do, so much so that I invested in Go Girl Physique and ever since there is no looking back. It is a privilege to be trusted by other women to help them overcome barriers both mental and physical and help them on their own path to personal acceptance. A very rewarding journey indeed to  experience and see women reach their goals, feeling confident and looking beautiful inside and out.
